Meet Katrina

Hello, meaningful human!

I’m glad you’re here.

My meaningful life’s purpose is to offer joy, wisdom, perspective and healing. That’s why I’m a humanist celebrant, educator and doula.

I love making things as smooth, easy and grounded as possible. This world is so complicated – especially when you have a neurospicy brain. That’s why I focus on what’s meaningful.

Discovering my brain operates on an AuDHD system has made sense of why it’s so important to me to help people feel safe to be themselves in my presence. A meaningful experience is an authentic experience… and this means something different for each person. No cookie cutters. It’s all about your preferences, options and creating experiences that feel right.

I was born with a questioning mind, into a devoutly religious family. While I’m not wired to follow a specific creed or faith, I have a deep-seated love for ceremony, reflection and affirming rites of passage. And as a librarian, I’m great at listening, offering guidance and seeing opportunities where others see problems.

I’m a trained End of Life Doula…but I prefer “death nerd”. I have a special interest in empowering people with knowledge and humour, challenging taboos of our death-phobic society, so we can live (and die) meaningfully.

Based in Adelaide on Kaurna Land. Will travel.

Meaningful Lives acknowledges the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains as the traditional custodians of the land on which this practice is based. This respect is extended to other Aboriginal Language Groups and other First Nations throughout the lands.
